The Hi-Tec World Squash Championships – Manchester 2007 will be staged on the spectacular all-glass show court at Manchester’s National Squash Centre and it will be the first time that a combined men's and women's World Squash Championships has been held in the UK. Recognised as the most important event in the World Squash calendar and on the professional circuit, the nine-day event will attract the world's top sixty-four players in the Men's Championship and the leading thirty-two players in the Women's Championship, with representation from forty countries. Squash has experienced a welcome resurgence in recent years, and with six British players in the top twenty world rankings so there are genuine contenders amongst the GB players in both the women's and men's events.
