Cornerstone Festival

This year's programme celebrates trans-Atlantic cultural links between Liverpool and New York; there's choreography from the José Limón Dance Company in New York; an exhibition of New York paintings and dawings by Liverpool artist Adrian Henri ; a community pantomime from North Liverpool Community Justice Centre and we are delighted to host the first performance outside the US of Kinetic Program "The Only Moving Thing ", featuring new commissions by Steve Reich, and New York composers David Lang, Michael Gordon and Julia Wolfe performed by Grammy Award winners eighth blackbird in Liverpool's iconic St. George's Hall. Liverpool Hope University's higher education partnership with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic is also represented this year with a collaborative programme of concerts and workshops by two of the world's finest exponents of new music: Liverpool's ownEnsemble 10/10 and Montreal's Le Nouvel Ensemble Moderne.
