British Musical Fireworks Championships Cancellation - Sunday 11th October We apologise to all those visitors who attended the British Musical Firework Championships on Sunday 11th October. Unfortunately, due to the higher strength wind conditions than had been forecast, the displays had to be cancelled on grounds of public safety. Refunds If you purchased tickets by credit/debit card either online, over the phone or at the Southport Arts Centre or Southport TIC, please call the Southport Arts Centre on 01704 540011. Please note that refunds will be issued from Tuesday 13th October from 10am. Alternatively, you can post your tickets to the Tourism Department, 10 Portland Street, Southport PR8 1LJ. Please include your name, address and bank account details in a covering letter. In all of these instances, the refund will be made by credit transfer into you bank account. If you purchased your tickets either by cheque or paid cash, please send your tickets to the Tourism Department, 10 Portland Street, Southport PR8 1LJ and provide your name and address in a covering letter. A refund, payable by cheque, will then be forwarded to you within 14 days. The final option to obtain a refund is to take your tickets to the Southport Arts Centre on or after Tuesday 13th October. The refund will then be made over the counter.
