Body Worlds 4

22/02/2008 - 17/08/2008
Manchester

Body Worlds 4, The Original Exhibition of Real Human Bodies, is extending its run at the Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI), Manchester, by an additional 7 weeks in order to accommodate public demand. Originally scheduled to close on the 29th June, the exhibition will now run until the 17th August. Undoubtedly one of the most controversial exhibitions to ever be stages, Body Worlds nonetheless draws huge crowds and elicits masses of interest. “Body Worlds4” is the latest work of anatomist and physician Dr. Gunther von Hagens and features a collection of 200 authentic specimens, including individual organs and whole body specimens that have undergone Plastination, the ground-breaking method of preservation. The exhibition, which has already achieved nearly 200,000 visitors, and which recently drew a record 20,000 visitors during half-term week, confirms Body Worlds 4 as MOSI’s most popular and highly attended exhibition to date.
