Fabulous Gardens
Visit England’s Northwest at any time of year
and you’ll find a stunning array of horticultural displays. Here
you’ll find some of Britain's most enchanting parks and gardens;
from historic estates to urban oases, all reflecting their
individual settings and artistic creators.
Cheshire is no doubt a gardeners Mecca. The
year-round splendour of Tatton Park echoes a regal status that only
few gardens can claim, and with the annual RHS Flower Show in July,
it has long been a firm favourite. 2008 is Cheshire’s Year of
Gardens, with a programme of events set to make the most of their
green settings.
Manchester’s chic urban parks mean you are
never far from nature, even in the heart of the city, whilst
Lancashire’s grand stately homes contrast with the county’s wild
and open moorland.
Liverpool is home to the National Wildflower
Centre and a host of historic parks, and in Cumbria - the Lake
District, you’re guaranteed spectacular scenery and a rich
history.
In England’s Northwest you’ll find all of the
green-fingered inspiration that you need, or just your own haven to
escape the hustle of modern life.
