The UK's only museum dedicated to hats and the hatting industry. Voted the best small visitor attraction in the North West 2002. An imaginative and interesting day out for all the family, school parties, specialist groups and researchers. It has a comprehensive range of visitor facilities including two audiovisual theatres, early hatting workshops, hatters cottage, hat block making workshop, working machinery, display galleries and temporary exhibition area. The building is wheelchair accessible and has a passenger lift, gift shop and internet cafe. Please note that all guided tours, organised group visits and special events are charged for.
