Hope Street Hotel
Liverpool,
40 Hope Street,
Merseyside,
L1 9DA

Voted by Conde Nast Traveller as one of the ‘World's 50 Coolest Hotels’, Hope Street Hotel was built and designed by an independent Liverpool team. Renovated from the shell of a Venetian style warehouse in Liverpool’s fashionable Georgian district, the hotel is set between the city's two cathedrals; surrounded by its universities, theatres and concert hall. Hope Street Hotel has 48 rooms (7 of them suites) with stunning views over the city. The style is contemporary and modern but with a natural, organic feel. The simplicity of the design emphasises the original Victorian pitch pine beams, brick and iron work and was described by The Sunday Times’ Walter F Stowy as ‘Isambard Kingdom Brunel meets Carrie Bradshaw’. Every room has real wood floors (with under floor heating), beds draped in Egyptian cotton, REN toiletries, a DVD player and un-metered broadband access. On the ground floor of the hotel, facing out on to Hope Street, Chef Patron Paul Askew has created one of the city's leading restaurants. Since opening in December 2003, The London Carriage Works has enjoyed universal praise - the Harden’s Guide naming it one of the top 10 restaurants outside London. The hotel also has three highly popular conference spaces equipped with plasma screens, broadband access and all the attention you would expect from Liverpool's leading independent hotel.
