Small Hotel of the Year
Stanley House

Preston New Road,

Stanley House is a beautifully restored 17th century manor house, now a four star hotel not far from the M6 and M65.
Mr Fred’s Bar provides a great place to meet and munch on the comfy sofa chairs inside or on the sunny terrace outside. Acclaimed chef, Steve Smith, is a whiz at cooking up a seasonal storm of classic dishes with a modern twist in the Cassis Restaurant situated in the adjoining barn conversion. Enjoy your after dinner coffee in ‘The Loft’ lounge, suspended over the restaurant and affording panoramic views over the Ribble Valley. The 54 acres of beautifully maintained gardens provide an ideal place to walk off all that good food.
The 12 individually designed bedrooms offer you a choice of themes for your restful night’s sleep. No manor house is complete without the traditional four poster, the king of beds, with its ornately carved wooden posts and decorative curtain. You may prefer the rich red soft furnishings and lacquered furniture of the oriental style bedroom or the decadence of the contemporary themed room featuring silver and gold. Go on – treat yourself, you’re worth it!
